Rooted in Northeast Ohio. Raised to a higher standard.
Three distinct ventures. One enduring pursuit: hospitality at its finest.
Ben Bebenroth
Founder & CEO
Spice Hospitality Group was built from a single catering operation into one of Northeast Ohio's most respected hospitality enterprises. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Ben trained at Johnson & Wales University and founded Spice Catering Co. in 2004 — guided from the outset by a conviction that exceptional hospitality begins with where food comes from.
That conviction shaped everything that followed. He established Spice Acres, a working farm within Cuyahoga Valley National Park, where the group grows much of what it serves — and founded Plated Landscape, a design practice that extends the same philosophy outdoors, creating edible and ornamental landscapes rooted in the same principles of place and seasonality. His most recent venture, Boom's Pizza, was recognized by Cleveland audiences as Best New Restaurant and Best Pizza in 2023. Across every business in the portfolio, Bebenroth's approach remains consistent: land, craft, and table in deliberate relationship with one another.
Best New Restaurant. Best Pizza in Cleveland.
Just getting started.
Boom's Pizza was born from the same philosophy that built Spice Hospitality Group — that every meal, regardless of the occasion, deserves intention behind it. What began as a bold new concept has quickly become one of Cleveland's most beloved dining destinations, earning Best New Restaurant and Best Pizza honors in its first year and building a following that keeps coming back.
The menu centers on pizza done right — thoughtfully sourced ingredients, dough made with care, and combinations that feel both familiar and surprising. Whether you're settling in for a weeknight dinner or marking something worth celebrating, Boom's delivers the kind of meal that reminds you why a great pizzeria matters to a neighborhood.
The experience is warm, unpretentious, and entirely Cleveland. Come as you are. Leave impressed.
Spice Catering Co. brings over two decades of experience to corporate dining, private celebrations, and large-scale events across Northeast Ohio.
Every menu is built around the season, executed with precision, and tailored to the specific vision of each client.
Trusted by the institutions that define Cleveland.
Spice Catering Co. serves as the exclusive catering partner for the Cleveland City Club, one of the nation's most storied civic forums, and holds a flagship partnership with the Holden Arboretum and Cleveland Botanical Garden — relationships that speak to the company's reputation for consistency, professionalism, and excellence at scale.
“We’re honored to fuel the conversations that shape our region with food that reflects the same values: intentional, local, and unapologetically real. This is about nourishing civic dialogue, one beautifully crafted plate at a time.”

Your wedding, curated.
A wedding menu is more than a meal — it's the first thing your guests will remember.
Spice Catering Co.'s event curators work alongside couples from the earliest planning stages, translating a personal vision into a dining experience that feels entirely their own. Every menu is composed with the season in mind, sourced with intention, and executed with the precision of a team that has earned the trust of Northeast Ohio's most discerning hosts.
From the cocktail hour to the final course, no detail is left unconsidered. Passed hors d'oeuvres, curated bar programs, plated dinners, family-style feasts — each element is designed to reflect the couple, honor the occasion, and leave a lasting impression on every guest at the table.
Since 2006, Plated Landscape has reimagined what a dinner can be. Conceived by Ben Bebenroth, these intimate, multi-course dining experiences take place at Spice Acres and other carefully chosen locations across Northeast Ohio — each one chosen for its natural beauty and its ability to make guests feel genuinely present in a place.
Every evening unfolds as a full sensory experience. Guests arrive to a chef-interactive cocktail hour, moving through seasonally inspired hors d'oeuvres and signature beverages before settling in for a wine-paired, multi-course dinner that reflects the very best of what the region offers that time of year. When the weather allows, dinner is served under open skies. When it doesn't, the setting transforms accordingly — the landscape always finds its way to the table.
Plated Landscape is also available as a distinctive format for fundraisers and private events, offering guests an evening that goes well beyond the expected.
